Need a scrapbook journaling idea?
So your page layout is done and now you are in need of a scrapbook journaling idea. I know how you feel. I have been there, done that. I have sat looking at my blank page (with a blank look on my face also) and wondered what in the world would I journal about? 5 Easy Journaling Tips
- Write who, what, where, when and why: This is probably the easiest scrapbook journaling idea out there, but nonetheless, it works!
- Character trait: Pick a character trait that fits the subject you are working on and elaborate on it. Examples: Lovable, Sincere, Patient, Gentle, Curious, etc.
- Song Lyrics: Songs can have a huge impact on how we remember certain events. Write down the chorus of the song and why it reminds you of the event or person.
- Words to pass down: Think about what you want future generations to remember about this event. You may think the event is not a big deal, but to future generations, they will be reading every word you write.
- Journaling Technique: Step away from your page or computer for a minute. Start telling your story out loud as if you were telling someone else. Use a tape recorder if you need to and play it back later as you are writing or typing. This will help the ideas to start flowing.
Enjoy the journaling process! You might just bring out emotions you didn't know you had inside. Keep a journal by your bed and before you go to sleep, jot down any ideas that you might have. This is also a great idea for your spiritual journaling.
Journaling for stress relief! Believe it or not, journaling can also be a great way to reduce the stress you have. It enables you to reflect on the positive moments of your life versus the ones that cause stress. Do it before bed and you might just sleep better. It is worth giving it a try!
